Movie Tie-In Websites
The Riders of the Purple Sage site is online. This 1996 movie was
based on the classic Zane Grey novel. Ed Harris and Amy Madigan
were the executive producers, and had the lead roles of Lassiter
and Jane Withersteen. Norbert played the evil Deacon Tull in this
movie, and in my opinion it’s one of his better performances.

You can follow all of the plays at the
Odyssey Theater by visiting their site.
The Incident Movie site pays tribute to a 1991 movie in which
Norbert played Hans Riefenstahl, the head of the Lager Gestapo
at Camp Breman, a fictitious WWII German POW camp. A special
feature is a complete section on the history of German POWs in
America.

Many of the photos in the Theater
section were contributed by Norbert.
That section would not have been
possible to develop so fully without
his support. Thanks, Norbert!
Norbert’s latest play, Way to Heaven by Juan Mayorga, just
recently closed at the Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles after a
successful run that received much critical acclaim. The final
performance was sold out with a huge waitlist.
The LA Drama Critics Circle nominations were just announced,
with the Odyssey Theater receiving a special award for Sustained
Excellence. Especially nice is Norbert’s nomination for Lead
Performance as the Commandant. Congratulations to Norbert and
the entire cast! A video clip from this play can be found here:

Photos from an actual performance of the play will be added soon
with an in-depth narrative. Look for this --coming soon-- in the
theater section.
The LA Times recently published an interview with Norbert who
talks about the play and his life in Germany before he moved to
the US. This is a fabulous article, so check it out!!
